For your information, blue sandstone is dark blue with a slight shimmer. Man-made, blue sandstone is obtained by combining aventurine, copper, and quartz sand. Deep and brilliantly brilliant, it is sometimes called star stone or night stone. It is said to have originated in Italy in a monastery; some even claim it was created by alchemists.
